Those just need a logical approach to how you filter and display the music. I've also got some "advanced" type custom lists for organizing special collections like the Decca Sound, Mercury box sets, and such. That also is a one time thing, and the payoff is well worth the effort to. My favorite is the "convolution engine" which allows me to load up a filter list (created using Room EQ Wizard and a calibrated mike) to EQ the system. I DO use some of the program's more advanced features, and agree, those could be better implemented.
It will also update any existing lists to organize your library for better access. You tell it what format you want ONCE, and it rips the tracks, converts them using EAC (included in the package) analyzes the audio, and goes out to the internet to fill in the tags and add cover art. Thing is, it's got a LOT of those - I figure if MC can't do it, it doesn't need to be done! The front end interface is real straight forward, but as you'd expect, some of the more esoteric features may take some thought. it's only as complicated as you want it to be.
